Our Mission

At the Diabetes Care Foundation, we are deeply committed to improving the lives of individuals affected by diabetes. The founder Waleed Khan personally suffers from type one diabetes himself. Ever since he was diagnosed he has made it his goal to spread awareness and educate people about diabetes through community outreach and organizing many events. Our mission is multifaceted, encompassing a range of initiatives aimed at empowering, supporting, and advocating for those living with this chronic condition. We strive to provide comprehensive education and resources to individuals and families impacted by diabetes. Through informative materials, workshops, and online resources, we aim to enhance understanding of diabetes management, treatment options, and lifestyle choices that promote better health outcomes.

In addition to our focus on education and support, we are passionate about advocating for policies and initiatives that improve access to diabetes care and treatment for all individuals, regardless of socioeconomic status or geographic location. We believe that everyone deserves access to quality healthcare and strive to be a voice for those who may otherwise be marginalized or underserved.

In everything we do, our ultimate goal is to empower individuals living with diabetes to lead healthier, fuller lives. We believe that by providing education, support, and advocacy, we can help individuals better manage their condition, reduce the risk of complications, and improve overall quality of life. Together, we are working towards a future where diabetes no longer poses a barrier to living life to the fullest.
